The Samaritan Project was founded in 2008 as a collaborative effort for local businesses, churches, and individuals to address the needs of struggling households within the city limits of our hometown, Zephyrhills. Now, eleven years later, our organization proudly serves individuals and families who are literally homeless or at-risk of homelessness throughout the greater Pasco County community. Thanks to key partnerships and county-wide support, we continue to grow - expanding our programs to accommodate the growing challenges faced by our clients.
is a community effort that focuses on homelessness prevention and outreach in Pasco County. We are the first point of contact for many struggling families and individuals in our area.
Our programs include Rent/Utility Assistance, Homelessness Outreach, Assistance Navigation, Emergency Cold Weather Shelter, Supportive Services, Resources, and Referrals. Our office is also home to a Resource Room, a Food/Hygiene/Household Pantry, and a Campers' Closet.
Our staff and volunteers offer one-on-one case management, personal advocacy, direct referrals, and hands-on assistance to those who need help accessing available benefits and services. Every client is treated on a case-by-case basis as we address both short-term and long-term needs and goals.
